Wounded knee illustrates one of the final events in a long series of violent conflicts motivated by racism, disrespect, and lack of understanding. The first source i used was a you tube video of the wounded knee monument. The trip to the monument is important because it shows that it was an important event. The sources are important because they show what actually happened.

One of the reasons that these violent events happened was because of disrespect. The indians felt disrespected when the english tried to take the indians land and make them live in a small area. Another reason could be from lack of understanding. Theydidnt understand what was going on and that is part of the reason.

In conclusion wounded knee was a bunch of very violent conflicts between the Natives and the English. The Natives felt that they were being invaded and the English wanted them to live in a small area and take their land. There was also alack of understanding and some racism.
