Essay #1 Boston Massacre

Ladies and gentelmen of the jury, on the night of March 5, 1770 there was a massacre in Boston Massachusets. The colonists arrived in front of the sloldiers and a riot broke out. The colonists were taunting, and throwing things at the soldiers that were in front of them. In self defense the soldiers started firing their guns and five people were killed.

I think that the colonists were guilty. They started the riot by taunting, throwing things, and yelling fire at the soldiers in hope of confusing them. It worked as the soldiers fired their guns and a riot broke out. If the soldiers would have held fire they might have been at risk. If the colonists didnt start throwing and yelling "Fire" the soldiers would not have killed the five people.

I think that the soldiers should be let go without consequence. They didnt do anything wrong, they fired out of self defense. I think that the Massachusets people will be angry and upset if they soldiers are let go. They already hate the Brittish soldiers and five of the people were killed. I think the king will be glad because his men didnt do anything wrong and the colonists started the massacre.
